Buddha

Since most of you probably don't know me, here is a little insight on me and why I became inspired to try out this new lifestyle.

If I heard of this buddha blog before I understood Buddhism I would think of wise elderly man that spoke slow but used gargantuan words (see what I did there). Get this out of your head for a second. Think teenager that is not sure of what she wants to do with her life and is being suffocated by the crazy amount of homework, but she still procrastinates. Now think of this teenager making a blog about Buddhism...crazy right? I would have thought so too, but it may not be as crazy as it sounds.

My inspiration came to me in English. We were asked to start a project that stems from our reading book. I was reading Looking For Alaska by John Green (I highly recommend this book). I finished the book and still nothing had really popped out at me that I could do this project on. I flipped through the pages for what it seemed like the hundredth time, looking for something that was at least partly interesting. I mean I didn't want to bore myself to death but I needed something! I skimmed the text of a page and I saw Buddhism. I thought that it could be a "last resort" if I couldn't find anything better. So I hopped onto my computer to see if it was a valid competitor. I somehow got engaged in this article that talked about karma, wisdom, happiness, truth and more. From that, I decided to do my project on Buddhism.
